We are pleased to announce that Jennifer Humphreys has recently qualified as a notary public after completing a two-year course with the University of Cambridge. Notaries are members of the oldest legal profession in England and even today they are appointed by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Unlike solicitors and barristers, notaries are recognised internationally. They are most often required where a document is executed in the UK for use abroad. While Jennifer continues to practice as a solicitor, her qualification as a notary will allow her to provide an even higher level of service for clients with assets overseas.
Probate, Wills and Trusts Department moves to Ancient House Mews.
Denise Church becomes a consultant at the firm. Denise continues to work closely with Jennifer Humphreys and the rest of the Probate, Wills and Trusts Department.
The Partners throw a party for their clients at The Galley Restaurant in Woodbridge, thanking them for their
loyalty and support over the years. The Partners also announce the move of the Probate, Wills and Trusts
Department from their current offices in New Street, Woodbridge to the newly refurbished premises in
Ancient House Mews, Woodbridge. This move is scheduled for early December 2008.
The firm launches ‘exchange-ready’ HIPS. The firm is proud to offer this new service exclusively to our existing clients and to those who wish to sell their property and to instruct us to carry out their conveyancing. Linda Baker is appointed as the firm’s HIPS Administrator.
